I would like to present another ambient album. My recipe for an ambient album: The ingredients are time and silence (relaxation works too), as well high quality sound sources, good effect devices, something similar to a theme and imaginary pictures.
The preparation: Gently mix the available time with the rest of the ingredients, paying attention to a slowly developing tension. It works best if you give each ingredient a chance to unfold.

Especially for this album I tried to describe certain places musically, with my kind of ambient sounds. Although some of these places don't invite to relaxed stays, I try to make them more inviting with my musical descriptions (Central Bus Station, Berlin Main station, airport access road, Berlin BER Airport etc.).

Close your eyes and see the places I describe with my ambient music. I hope you will enjoy.

Percussionist since the late seventies, Volker Lankow lives in Berlin, plays and collaborates in many diverse projects, such as together with Bernhard Wöstheinrich, Wolfgang Spahn, David Rothenberg, to name a few.
